Our Statement of Faith

KW Redeemer’s Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that we are all are sinners and totally unable to save ourselves from God’s judgement for our sin, except by His mercy and that salvation is based solely on His grace.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through his perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him alone for salvation.

We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people, not simply as individuals, but as families in successive generations, according to His covenant promises.

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and empowers all those who place their faith in Christ alone for salvation, giving them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.

We believe that Jesus will return one day as He promised, bodily and visibly, to Judge all mankind. God being holy and just requires perfection from us. God being gracious and loving provided perfection for us, in Christ. Those who trust in Christ on the Day of the Lord receive deliverance and restoration. Those who do not trust in Christ alone for salvation receive damnation, according to the Scriptures.

We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

Our position on marriage is the historic scriptural position according to Genesis 2:22-24, Matthew 19:4-6 and Ephesians 5:31-33 which consistently defines of the covenant of marriage as the union between one man (husband) and one woman (wife). Our posture towards the LGBTQ community is one of dignity and love as the scriptures teach that every person is an image bearer of God.
