SANGUEN'S MOBILE CLOSET

The Sanguen Health Centre has converted one of their vehicles into a pop-up clothing rack to help those experiencing poverty in the region to stay warm this season.

We will be receiving donations on Sundays in October. There will be a clothing bin marked with a sign inside the entranceway where you can leave your donation as you come in.

The mobile closet is well stocked with women’s clothing, so only men’s clothing items are needed at this time. Used clothing in good condition is welcome.

MEN’S CLOTHING ITEMS (ALL SIZES)
Winter Coats
Winter Boots
Gloves / Mitts
Socks
Sweaters / Hoodies
large reusable grocery bags to transport clothing

TOILETRY ITEMS
toothbrushes / toothpaste
deodorant, razors, shaving cream,
small hotel/airline sized shampoos / conditioners / soaps / lotions

FOOD ITEMS
Individually wrapped/pre-packaged snacks such as: Nutri-grain bars, fruit roll-ups, lunchables etc… softer chocolate & candy are always appreciated. Non perishable food items are preferred.

The Food bank helps stock the vehicle with crackers & bear paw cookies & a donor has provided ample juiceboxes & beverages so those items are not needed.

ST JOHN'S KITCHEN

Founded in 2006, St. John’s Kitchen is a gathering place for people in downtown Kitchener. By mid-day the space is bustling, as around 300 people gather to share the hot meal. Its diverse community includes many people who are experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness, or street involved.

When Redeemer was founded in 2015, we committed to partnering with St. John's Kitchen with both financial and volunteer resources.
