DEPENDENCE ON JESUS PRODUCES HUMBLE CONFIDENCE
FOR THE TRIBULATIONS OF LIFE
v15 “whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”
SELF RELIANCE IS EXPOSED IN THE PAIN OF LETTING GO OF IDOLS
V22 “but he (the rich man) was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful,
for he had great possessions.”
THE CROSS IS BOTH THE FORM AND FUEL FOR EFFECTIVE MINISTRY
v44-45 whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. 44 And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
