Genesis 12:1-8
GOD’S CALL TO ABRAHAM
(v1-2) “Get out of your country, From your family, And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you,
And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.”
THE FULFILLMENT OF THIS CALL THROUGH CHRIST
(v3) …in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
(Acts 2:5, 12) “There were staying in Jerusalem, God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. In hearing the gospel in their own language amazed they asked, ‘what does this mean?”
CHRIST’S CALL TO HIS CHURCH
(2 Cor 5:17-19) “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: We are Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.”
